If you've reached this page, it's because Dr. Kambon has touched your life and she wanted to share an update about the events that recently halted Onipa and had her absent for a year.
Allow me to take a moment to share something personal with you. I have been away for over a year from my practice. A year ago December, I lost my husband —my life partner for over 50 years. Together, we built more than just businesses—we built a legacy of Black love, partnership, and purpose.
The months since his passing have been the most challenging of my life. Not only have I been mourning and supporting my family through this profound loss, but I have also been consoling the countless souls who loved and admired him. His spirit continues to live within all of us, and while the weight of his physical absence is deeply felt, the love and resilience he shared with me and instilled in our community sustain me each day.
During this time of mourning and reflection, I turned to the very principles of healing and resilience that I’ve long shared through my work. I gave myself space to heal, to listen to my own spirit, and to honor the love and support I’ve received from this incredible community. You have been a major source of strength, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
As I prepare to return to my work at Onipa PCS, I do so with a heart renewed by love, a spirit grounded in purpose, and a steadfast commitment to the healing work my husband and I devoted our lives to. Though the journey of grief has been painful, it has also been purposeful, deepening my resolve to continue our mission of helping others heal and thrive through African centered wellness practices.
I invite you to join me as we begin this next chapter of healing together. Whether you’ve walked this path with me before or are new to Onipa, I am here to guide you on the journey of reconnecting mind, body, and spirit as they are one.
To mark this next phase of my life’s journey, I am offering a special, free session titled “The Journey Back: Reclaiming Purpose.” This session is designed for those who have experienced loss or grief. Together, we will honor the past while moving toward a future filled with healing, love, and purpose. I look forward to connecting with you there.

Are We Safe?
SAT. - JAN. 18, 2025
2 PM ET
Every day, we face the denial of our truth, the erasure of our experiences, and the manipulation of our reality. For so many Black people, the assaults are constant on our spirit affecting our minds, bodies, culture and daily life. The weight of it all can feel overwhelming and contribute to anxiety. Amongst Black people anxiety is real and has intensified since the Trump election and with the inauguration within days.
Threats have become real experiences with an uptick in lynchings, shootings and other verbal, emotional and physical attacks. Statements, responses and actions, especially from those in power, leave us questioning or maybe clear and fearful.
What’s next? Will it get worse? Where do we go from here? What options are available? In this webinar, we’ll confront the impact of racial gaslighting head-on and grapple with the reality of a “trump” world. Together, we’ll navigate the anxiety and confusion so many of us feel. Is it time to move? Should you leave the U.S. for Abibiman (Africa) or the Caribbean? Should you stay in your job or carve a new path? These are not just questions—they are deeply personal decisions rooted in survival, hope and determination for you and the collective. We must confront and honor our truth, release the fear, heal from the harm, and take the next step forward. Let’s explore the possibilities—together.
